#1 External Coatings

It may seem a little strange to prioritise the coatings over the actual repairs but here we are looking into identifying faults early. The commercial coatings that are applied or in some cases not applied, ensure that building materials remain protected from adverse weather and harmful conditions. Assess the buildings coatings frequently and look for signs of wear and tear. This could be peeling, rusting, flaking or even fading paint. If you spot it, hire a team that specialise in on site spraying to have a new coating applied as well as a protective coating to ensure that the substrate remains in good condition.

#2 Cladding Panels

Cladding panels are a priority when it comes to on site maintenance and repair. They are easily damaged by harmful weather conditions and need to be correctly maintained. If you neglect your cladding panels for too long, you will inevitably end up paying for cladding panel repairs, something that will be easily avoided with the correct maintenance.

#3 Roofing Structure

Industrial roofing is a massive concern, especially in strong winds and bad weather. Not only is cut edge corrosion a real possibility due to the amount of water that it handles, but stronger winds can literally rip it from the buildings frame. Complete a roofing audit at least every quarter and before and after expected high winds. Ensure that any cladding sheets are secured as best as possible to prevent injury and further damages.
